>>Kobe Highlights HoF Class

(Springfield, MA)  —  Late Lakers star Kobe Bryant highlights the 2020 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class.  Bryant was announced as part of the star-studded class over the weekend, and will be joined by Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and Tamika Catchings among others.  The enshriment ceremony is scheduled for August 29th in Springfield, Massachusetts.

>>NFL Teams Prep To Draft At Home

(Undated)  —  NFL team executives are preparing to conduct the draft from their respective homes instead of team facilities.  NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told teams not to go to team offices and to adhere to having a limited number of people in one room.  The draft will go on as scheduled from April 23rd to the 25th.

>>”Gronk” Wins 24/7 Title At WrestleMania

(Orlando, FL)  —  Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is now the WWE 24/7 champion.  “Gronk” pinned friend Mojo Rawley to win the belt on the second night of WrestleMania 36 in Orlando.  Gronkowski, who hosted the event, nearly won the belt on Saturday.  WrestleMania was held on a closed set.

>>First Black Redskin Mitchell Dies

(Undated)  —  Former Redskins receiver Bobby Mitchell is dead at the age of 84.  Mitchell passed away on Sunday.  The Pro Football Hall of Famer was the first African-American to play for the Washington Redskins when he was traded to the team from Cleveland in 1962.  The four-time Pro Bowler twice led the NFL in receiving yards, and was also known for his civils rights activism off the field.

>>Former Saints Kicker Dies Of COVID-19

(New Orleans, LA)  —  Legendary New Orleans Saints kicker Tom Dempsey is deat at 73 after coming down with the coronavirus.  The Times Picayune reports that Tom Dempsey died Saturday.  Dempsey is best known for kicking a 63-year-old field goal for the Saints in 1970 and that record stood for many years.  Dempsey was born without any toes on his right foot.  He also had no fingers on his right hand.
