Three area girls basketball players will compete at the Sectional level of this year’s Country Financial 3-Point Showdown tonight as they try to advance to the state competition. Each girl will shoot prior to the Championship game of the Sectional complex that their team was assigned to for the postseason.
In Class 2A, Vandalia High School senior Lanee McNary will shoot at the Greenville Sectional at 5:30pm.
In Class 1A, Ramsey junior Gretta Simon and Brownstown-St. Elmo sophomore Audrey Wilhour will both shoot at the Casey-Westfield Sectional at 5:30pm.
The top 4 finishers at each Sectional site will advance to the 3-Point Showdown State Preliminaries that will be held on Thursday, February 27 at Redbird Arena at Illinois State University.
