BSE's Win Streak Snapped as Bombers Fall to Altamont 60-50

Altamont 60, Brownstown-St. Elmo 50

The Lady Bombers saw their win streak stopped at 6 as they dropped a NTC matchup to Altamont, 60-50, on Thursday night. With the game tied 30-30 in the second half, and Altamont 5-0 run started to open up the game. BSE put up 20 points in the fourth quarter, but the effort was not enough to overcome the Indians.

The two teams do have the possibility to match up again this regular season as Altamont is the #1 seed in the National Trail Conference Tournament next week and BSE is the #3 seed. However, both teams would have to make it through the quarterfinals and the semifinals of the tournament to get to that possible matchup as it would only occur in the championship game of the tournament.

For BSE:

Olivia Campbell – 16 points

Claire Wilhour – 13 points

Audrey Wilhour – 6 points

Natalie Oberlink – 5 points

Natelly Beall – 4 points

Jaide Whitehead – 4 points

Laney Baldrige – 2 points

BSE is now 14-6 on the season. They will play in the Altamont Shootout on Saturday, taking on Decatur St. Teresa at 7pm.

Following Saturday, they will begin play in the NTC Tournament at Beecher City High School on Monday at 1pm against North Clay.
