Lady Vandals' McNary Gets 1000th Point

Lady Vandals senior Lanee McNary added her name to an exclusive club reaching the 1000 career point mark in Vandalia’s loss to Gillespie on Thursday night.

Heading into Thursday night’s game, McNary needed just 10 points to reach the mark. With time ticking away at the end of the 3rd quarter, McNary hit a shot from just outside the left elbow as the buzzer sounded to reach the milestone. McNary, who was unaware the two points were actually her 999th and 1000th, was informed of the feat by her mother and Coach Michelle McNary when she reached the huddle at the teams bench.
