After two days filled with big tests, the Vandals will get another one coming up on Saturday.
The Vandals will be at the Benton Quad on Saturday and their first match of the day at Benton will be versus Tolono Unity. At Abe’s Rumble, Tolono Unity knocked off then-#2 ranked Coal City to advance to the championship match where they lost to #1 Coal City. And, with that win, Tolono Unity has now moved up to the #2 spot in the latest IWCOA rankings. The Vandals remain #3 in the rankings after falling to Lena-Winslow in the semi-finals of Abe’s Rumble but then defeating Coal City in the 3rd place match. So, with the Vandals facing Tolono Unity on Saturday, it means they will have faced all the other teams in the top 4 in the current rankings. The Vandals will also face Benton and West Frankfort at the Benton Quad on Saturday. The Vandals are 15-1 in dual team action on the season.
