As the Vandals got their wrestling season started with a win over Belleville West on Tuesday and wrestle at the C-M Tournament today, they start the season ranked very high and their expectations even higher.
In this week’s rankings from the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association, they have the Vandals at #3 in Class 1A Team Rankings, behind just Lena-Winslow (the defending state champs) and Coal City.
Meanwhile, Vandals Coach Jason Clay says the goal is to be #1.
