BSE Girls Go 2-0 to Start Pana Thanksgiving Tournament Play

The Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball team is off to a strong start at the Pana Girls Thanksgiving Tournament picking up pool play wins on Friday night and Saturday morning.

BSE won a close battle with Christ Our Rock Lutheran 49-48 Friday night. BSE led 30-24 at the half and 42-32 at the end of the 3rd before withstanding a 16-7 run by CORL in the 4th to hold on for the win. Olivia Campbell led BSE in scoring with 20 points and Claire Wilhour finished with 16 points. Natalie Oberlink tallied 5 points, Audrey Wilhour added 4 points and both Natelly Beall and Laney Baldrige finished with a bucket each.

On Saturday morning, BSE got a big 52-30 win over Okaw Valley. Claire Wilhour led BSE with 22 points, Olivia Campbell finished with 15 points, Natalie Oberlink tallied 9 points, Sydney Stine scored 4 points and Audrey Wilhour added 2 points.
