Countdown to Saturday-Vandals Senior QB Matthew Wells reaching new heights in his play

As each game has gone by, Vandals Senior QB Matthew Wells keeps setting more records.  But, Vandals Coach Jason Clay doesn’t see the numbers as much as just the evolution of his play on the field.

Going into the Vandals Round 2 Playoff Game on Saturday versus Mt. Carmel, Matthew is just 10 passing yards away from 5,000 for his Vandals career and would be the only Vandal QB to ever reach that mark.  He also passed 1500 yards passing for the season last week, becoming the first Vandals QB to do that twice in his HS career as Matthew threw for 2206 yards in his Sophomore year.  Matthew Wells is 25-7 all time as the Vandals starting QB and is now playing in his 6th playoff game–both are all time records.
