Prior to Greenville High School volleyball’s award night on Monday evening, Greenville Coach Amanda O’Regan presented a check on behalf of the Greenville Lady Comets volleyball team, Vandalia Lady Vandals volleyball team and Lady Vandals Coach Haley McGinnis for the proceeds from the annual Greenville-Vandalia Volley for the Cure match to Patti Brooks of the Lem Rhodes Cancer Foundation. This year, $4000 was raised from t-shirt sales, raffles, auctions and more before and during the match.
The match will return to Vandalia High School next year with proceeds going to an organization of Vandalia’s choice. The annual match between the two teams has been in place for over 10 years now with proceeds rotating and being split between organizations in Fayette and Bond Counties.
