Vandalia sophomore Chase Laack currently sits tied for 14th on the leaderboard after his first round of play at the 1A State Golf Tournament at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington. After shooting a 1 over par 37 on the back nine of the course, Laack bogeyed 3 holes on the front nine for a 3 over 39 to finish the round 4 over par with a score of 76. With the top 24 individuals not on advancing teams moving on to the 2nd round, Laack will advance on to play on Saturday. Tee times for Saturday will begin at 8:30am, and Laack will be with the group that tees off at 9:33am from the course’s first tee.
Note: The top 24 individual scores (and ties) of all remaining players not on one of the top eight teams will advance to Day 2 of the State Finals.
