
South Central used a 7-run 4th inning to bust the game open and beat Neoga 13-3 in 5 innings Monday evening and will advance to the semifinals of the National Trail Conference baseball tournament.
South Central used five different pitchers in the game with starter Jaden Grzegorek getting the win after going the first three innings before being pulled due to pitch count. Grzegorek allowed just one hit during his scoreless innings pitched. Chase Dodson, Hunter Brandt, Aiden Dodson and Aaron Patten combined to pitch the finals two innings.
South Central will face Effingham St. Anthony on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00pm after the Bulldogs beat Windsor/Stew-Stras 10-0 Monday to advance.
