
Brownstown-St. Elmo Junior Jace McWhorter tossed a no hitter, shutting out Ramsey 10-0 in the two teams opening game of the Egyptian-Illini Conference baseball tournament Monday evening. McWhorter pitched all five innings allowing no runs on no hits and recording 6 strikeouts. McWhorter did allow 6 baserunners via walks in the game with none able to score. Drew Carroll took the loss for Ramsey on the mound going the first 2 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and recording 3 strikeouts.
BSE is now 7-7 on the season. Ramsey is now 1-10 on the season.
