The Lady Vandals volleyball team won both of their Silver Flight matches on Saturday to go 4-1 at the Montgomery County Invitational Tournament. After going 2-1 Friday night with their lone loss to eventual champion Staunton, the Lady Vandals beat North Mac 25-16, 25-18 to get into the 5th Place game against Auburn which was a rematch of last year’s Championship game when Vandalia finished 2nd. This year, the Lady Vandals topped Auburn 25-11, 25-19 in arguably their best match of the season to finish the tournament in 5th place with a record of 4-1.
Lady Vandals Sophomore Libero Miley Worker was named to the “All Grace” (All-Tournament) Team
The Lady Vandals are now 9-4 on the season overall and will be off until Thursday when they travel to Carlinville for a South Central Conference matchup.
