The Greenville Comets got their first win of the soccer season with an 8-0 win over Carlinville on Tuesday evening. The win was also the Comets first in the South Central Conference for the year as the match was the SCC opener for the Greenville.
Scoring goals in the game for the Comets were Desmond Gardner-2 goals, Tyler Rieke-2 goals, Dima Powell, Aiden Johnson & Timothy Ordonez. Brock Kenny had 12 saves in goal, earning the shutout.
The Comets are now 1-6-1 on the season and will be back in action Thursday at Hillsboro.
