The South Central Cougars baseball team are the 2021 IHSA Class 1A State Champions. After an extra inning 15-14 win over Goreville in the SIU Super-Sectional game to earn their first ever trip to the State Tournament, the Cougars got a dominating 11-5 win over Mt. Pulaski in the State Semifinal game before beating Father McGivney 4-2 in the title game to win the program’s first ever State Championship title.
